Beautiful day for a birthday

It's not every day you get to say you celebrated your 21st birthday on the other side of the world and with two of your close friends!

There were many biking expeditions; exploring the main area of town, up the only hill in Lund to see the view and to and from where we were both staying. Phil entertained us with his new and improved way of riding a bike. Just put your bum on the rack at the back and its much more comfortable, especially when you are short like Phil and cant reach the pedals when you ride normally.

There were many park visits accompanied with good conversations and sharing of our travel experiences; next to the main church, the Domkyrkan, the Botanical gardens (photo), the park down by Klostergarden...

There was a lot of good food; home-made sandwiches, pancakes, rice pudding... (for dinner? thanks to the family P&J were staying with)

There was a bit of partying mixed in there - on my actual birthday we had a party in my corridor. Typically I was made to dress up in a full bunny suit for the evening. The highlight was the artistic "M" arrangement of bikes on the lawn in Parentesen. Thanks to all those whose bikes were used in the display! Thanks also to those of you who sung me happy birthday in all the different languages of the world, for the little gifts (mainly chocolate!) and thanks also to the guys in my corridor for setting up the speakers and doing the music! You got it going!

And last but not least, there was beautiful weather. The sun was shining and we were relaxed and happy.
